"I purchased a retrax pro aluminium"
I purchased a retrax pro aluminium, with lifetime warranty.4/4/2016 now it is on a collectors truck and it was used maybe 20 times in its lifetime, well 1/25/2021 it decided to snap in half(the cover) while opening after closing, not pulling hard nothing just cracked and snapped like hard plastic in the cold(was -15c).
Contacted the company and their warranty is “pro rated” and they offered to sell me a part at 439.99 plus shipping 48 to USA states, well I’m in Canada and that turns into almost $700 without paying duty! Absolutely rediculous the whole unit cost 1200 brand new.
This company scams into lifetime customers, it’s a rip off there’s no warranty and a horrible product if it breaks on a truck that’s barely used! The truck only gains 80k in 6 years..it sits a lot no reason for it to snap in half.
